Marketing and Administration Executive for Dublin Book Festival 2017
The Marketing and Administration Executive will be responsible to, and will work in conjunction and close consultation with, the Programme Director of the Dublin Book Festival 2017
Role Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Programme Director in the collection and editing of all event descriptions, biographies and images for authors, speakers and chairs for the Festival Programme and website
- Working alongside the Programme Director co-ordinating logistical requirements for the book festival
- Working alongside and to the administrative requirements of the festival admin supporter, Dublin City Public Libraries, in relation to author payments
- Publishing marketing content on the festival website and relevant social media platforms
- Developing the DBF marketing database and generating marketing ideas
- Conducting interviews with participating authors and publishers
- Gathering news on literary festivals and generating newsletter content
- Blogging up to and during the festival
- Managing social media competitions and PR exercises.
- Co-ordinating the distribution of the programme and information to marketing partners, companies and establishments
- Working during the week of the festival 2 – 5 November 2017 in an assigned role by the Programme Director
Working Hours
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week (5 mornings or afternoons per week) and full hours during the week of the festival. Applicants must be available to work from home.
Experience
Marketing and administration experience is essential. A working knowledge of the publishing industry would be desirable, but not essential.
Knowledge of WordPress and Mailchimp is essential

Marketing and Administration Assistant Interns
The Dublin Book Festival is looking for two Marketing and Administration Assistant interns to join their team.
The successful candidates will work alongside the Dublin Book Festival’s Marketing and Administration Executive to develop relevant marketing and online content in advance, during and post festival. The candidate will assist in:
- Assisting the Programme Director with logistical arrangements and administration for the festival
- Publishing content on the festival website and relevant social media platforms,
- Developing the DBF marketing database
- Conducting interviews with participating authors and publishers
- Gathering news on literary festivals and generating newsletter content
- Blogging up to and during the festival
- Managing social media competitions and PR exercises.
- Co-ordinating the distribution of the programme and information to marketing partners, companies and establishments
- Working during the week of the festival in an assigned role by the Programme Director
Experience
Marketing experience, as well as a working knowledge of wordpress and mailchimp is desirable. This is an intern position and is unpaid, however a small fee to cover expenses will be provided.
Working Hours: 15 – 20 hours per week and applicants must be available to work from home. Full-time during the festival dates 2 -5 November 2017
