Ríomhann Cathal Póirtéir an scéal ó thús go deireadh ina leabhar nua, An Tiarna George Hill agus Pobal Ghaoth Dobhair (Cló Iar-Chonnacht). Inniu, labhrann sé leis an scríbhneoir Éilís Dhuibhne faoina chuid scríbhneoireachta.

In 1838 Lord George Hill bought half of the parish of Gaoth Dobhair, and embarked on an ambitious project to improve the area – building Bunbeg Harbour and improving roads, and introducing farming reforms. But in the wake of the Great Famine, his good relations with local people tured to bitter conflict.
