Ashwin Chacko is an illustrator, storyteller and motivational speaker based in Dublin. Ashwin helps companies connect with their audience through illustrations and design and is interested in uncovering the social interactions that drive culture. He seeks to capture these moments in bold lines and shapes and likes to describe his work as positively playful. Ashwin’s latest book is A Little Book About Justice and his bright, playful artwork is featured in the recent Free to Be Me campaign for Children’s Books Ireland.

Alan Nolan is the author and illustrator of Fintan’s Fifteen, Conor’s Caveman and the Sam Hannigan series, and is the illustrator of the popular Gordon’s Game books written by Gordon D’Arcy and Paul Howard. Alan’s latest books, Sam Hannigan and the Last Dodo, and Animal Crackers (with Sarah Webb) are both out now, and his forthcoming historical novel, The Sackville Street Spooks will be out this autumn from The O’Brien Press.

WonderFest is an online children’s book festival that aims to celebrate and promote Irish books. It was set up in 2020 and is run by a team of Irish children’s writers and illustrators. WonderFest 2022 will take place from 9th to 13th November in partnership with Dublin Book Festival and supported by dlr Libraries.

There are a range of events for schools, an event for young writers and a webinar for new and emerging children’s writers.

We hope you enjoy WonderFest 2022!
