    Leading Irish photographer Barry McCall was commissioned to capture a series of portraits of some of our DBF23 authors, poets and illustrators, for a feature which has just been published in the Sunday Independent’s Life Magazine. Visit our Festival Hub at The Printworks, Dublin Castle, across the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November to visit an exhibition of the works. The exhibition will be accessible 10am – 5pm on the Saturday and 11am – 4pm on the Sunday.

    Barry McCall is one of Ireland’s most established photographers. Specialising in fashion, advertising, beauty, portraiture and food, his distinctive style brings a classic and timeless touch to contemporary photography. He also directs commercials. He has worked with everyone from Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Helena Christensen to U2, Michael Fassbender, Saoirse Ronan, Ruth Negga, Richard Branson, Colin Farrell and Liam Neeson. His clients range from Bulova, Kork-Ease and Joseph Ribkoff to Adidas, Universal Music, Coca Cola, L’Oreal and Chanel. His work has appeared internationally in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone and Tatler. He has been commissioned by leading creative agencies such as Madras, Redworks, Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Blue, Rothco, Boys & Girls and Publicis. Barry continues to be inspired by his first loves: classic art, old movies and the ever changing fashion of our times.
