    Step into the DBF Literary Cabaret and join us for a relaxed evening of readings and conversation, with plenty of breaks between for music, drinks and chat in the beautiful Joyce lounge in Bewley’s Grafton Street. Brendan MacEvilly will be joined throughout the evening by writers Richy Craven and Sarah Rees Brennan, and poet and spoken word artist Dagogo Hart.

    Richy Craven is an Irish writer. He will cautiously admit to having a degree in Environmental Biology, provided there are no follow up questions. He can be found mostly on Twitter for as long as that is still a thing. He lives in Dublin with his girlfriend and a Border Collie named Rio. Richy collects comic books and anxiety disorders.

     

     

     

    Sarah Rees Brennan was born in Ireland by the sea. After world travel and surviving stage 4 cancer, she settled there in the shadow of a 300 year old library. Writing young adult fiction, she was a Lodestar, Mythopoeic and World Fantasy finalist, Carnegie nominee and New York Times bestseller. Long Live Evil is her first adult work.

     

     

    Dagogo Hart is an acclaimed poet, playwright, and spoken word artist known for his compelling performances across Ireland. Starting in Dublin in 2016, his journey from open mics to prestigious stages like Electric Picnic illustrates his remarkable talent and dedication. As a founding member of the WeAreGriot collective, Dagogo curates art events that bridge poetry with other art forms, showcasing his versatility and commitment to cultural expression. His works, inspired by his Lagos roots and Irish experiences, offer insightful perspectives on identity, community, and resilience.

    Brendan Mac Evilly is co-editor of Holy Show. He is the author of At Swim: A Book About the Sea, and his debut novel, Deep Burn, is forthcoming with Marrowbone Books in 2025. His fiction and non-fiction has appeared in The Stinging Fly, the Honest Ulsterman, the Guardian, the Irish Times, and Sunday Times. He is the 2024 selection for the ‘Emerging Curator Development Programme’ at Kilkenny Arts Office, and also coordinates the IWC’s National Mentoring Programme.
