    Mount Pleasant Square is the most charming and sleepy of Dublin’s Georgian squares. Completed in the 1830s, this elegant refuge is within walking distance of Grafton Street. Author of A Little History of Dublin (Merrion Press) and museum founder Trevor White leads an exclusive walking tour for the festival. Discover the secrets of a great Dublin square in the company of a passionate historian and local resident.

    The meeting point for this event is the Hill Pub, 1 Old Mountpleasant, Ranelagh.

    Following the walk join Trevor for a tea or coffee in The Hill Pub.


    Trevor Robertson White was born in Dublin in 1972. Educated at Sandford Park, St Columba’s College and Trinity College, he worked as a journalist in London and New York before launching The Dubliner magazine in 2001. Ten years later he founded the award-winning Little Museum of Dublin, where the story of the city is told in a collection created by public donation. He is the author of three plays and seven books, including The Dubliner Diaries, Malton’s Views of Dublin and Alfie: The Life and Times of Alfie Byrne.
