Introductions | Céadlinte is a showcase of  14 of the most exciting new poets writing in English and Irish on the island of Ireland today. Stepping to the stage with work that is fresh, accomplished, and fully formed, these poets represent the electrifying future of Irish poetry.

This year’s Introductions poets were selected by Tara Bergin and include Sam Furlong Tighe, Colm Brennan, Siobhan Flynn, Maeve McKenna, Rafael Mendes, Stephen de Búrca, Eoin Rogers, Susanna Galbraith, Olha Matso and David Nash.  The Céadlínte Éigse Éireann poets were selected by Aifric Mac Aodha, and include Laoighseach Ní Choistealbha, Gormfhlaith Ni Shiochain Ni Bheolain, Sam Ó Fearraigh and Liam Ó hAnnagáin.

This evening’s event will feature performances by Sam Furlong Tighe, Laoighseach Ní Choistealbha, Colm Brennan, Olha Matso, Maeve McKenna, David Nash and Liam Ó hAnnagáin with music by Farah Eile .

Introductions | Is sárthaispeántas é “Céadlinte” de 14 de na filí nua is spreagúla atá ag scríobh i mBéarla agus i nGaeilge ar oileán na hÉireann sa lá atá inniu ann. Cuirfidh siad saothar nua  ar stáitse duinn atá úr, cumasach agus foirmithe go hiomlán. S’iad na filí a gheallann todhchaí leictrithe fhilíocht na Gaeilge.
