Join award-winning children’s author, Sarah Webb, to hear a remarkable tale of friendship, bravery and adventure, inspired by true events from World War 2. Dive into the real-life history of Maureen Sweeney, the Blacksod woman whose D-Day weather readings would impact the entire trajectory of the war. Inspired by Maureen’s incredible true story, Sarah’s new children’s book, The Weather Girls (The O’Brien Press) follows twelve-year-old Grace Devine as she and her family and friends secretly change the course of history. Children and teachers will also have a chance to ask Sarah their questions about storytelling, finding ideas, and how to write their own stories or books.

This is a school event suitable for 4th – 6th class. Bookings/expressions of interest to info@dublinbookfestival.com.
In partnership with Dublin City Libraries.
