English translation:

Cathal Pórtéir and a panel of special guests will review three new novels in the fitting surrounds of the Museum of Literature Ireland. Anna Heussaff, Aonghus Ó hAlmhain and Tristan Rosenstock will discuss Fatwa (Coiscéim), by Proinsias Mac a’Bhaird, in which an Irish author, Cormac Mac Ruairí’s, controversial bid for attention attracts the ire of Muslim fundamentalists; Cití na gCartaí (Cois Life), by Réaltán Ní Leannáin, which follows a young Maltese woman, Kati’s, fortune as she falls in love with a British soldier in the wake of the Gallipoli slaughter and follows him to riot-torn 1920s Belfast; and Thar na Tonnta (Cló lar-Chonnacta), by Beairtle Ó Conaire, a novel which starts at the end and moves backwards through the life of socialist activist Sonaí Ó Giolla.

Tristan Rosenstock is a television and radio presenter, musician, and literary editor of Comhar magazine.

Anna Heussaff

Anna Heussaff is one of Ireland’s most popular Irish-language writers. Her work for both adults and young readers includes the novels Scáil an Phriosúin, Bás Tobann, Cúpla Focal and Vortex.

Aonghus Ó hAlmhain

Aonghus Ó hAlmhain is a software engineer, commentator and self-confessed ‘word nerd’. He is a frequent contributor on literary and arts subjects to the online newspaper Tuairisc.
