Age 15+

Lia is the newly crowned teenage queen of Edar, having inherited the mantle from her corrupt uncle. With no one to trust, she decides to hire a spymaster – but Xania, tasked with being Lia’s new confidante, has her own agenda. Despite the treason, murderous plots and secrecy, a bond begins to grow between Lia and Xania which may be more than that of a queen and her spy. Soon, they may find themselves faced with an impossible choice.

Helen Corcoran

Helen Corcoran grew up in Cork dreaming of scheming queens and dashing lady knights. After graduating from Trinity College, Dublin, she worked as a bookseller for over a decade. She lives in Dublin, writing fantasy novels and haunting coffee shops in search of the perfect latte. Her stunning debut YA novel, Queen of Coin and Whispers, was published in June 2020 to rave reviews.
