28 November, 2020 , 11:30 am – 12:30 pm GMT
With Deirdre Sullivan
Age 15+, event open for 5th class students
Dublin Book Festival is teaming up with one of Ireland’s most distinctive Young Adult voices, Deirdre Sullivan, to give book club participants the chance to ask this award-winning author their burning questions. Don’t miss your chance to explore Deirdre’s work with her, to inquire about her writing process, inspiration, and motivation, and to hear all about her latest release, the highly praised Savage Her Reply (Little Island), a haunting and lyrical retelling of the old Irish fairytale, The Children of Lir.
Deirdre Sullivan is established as one of Ireland’s most distinctive YA voices. She has published eight titles with Little Island, enjoying notable success with Needlework and Tangleweed and Brine (winner, Irish Book Awards YA Book of the Year 2017; CBI Book of the Year 2018; Irish Times Reader’s Choice Award for YA 2017). In 2019 she published Perfectly Preventable Deaths (Hot Key).
Please note that this event will take place over Zoom. Booking is essential and places are limited to one class group only, so will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To book, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
