Oscar Wilde’s children’s tales have enchanted readers, young and old alike, for over a hundred years now. In this stunning new edition, Oscar Wilde’s Stories for Children (Little Island), illustrator Lauren O’Hara brings six of his tales to life with vivid and colourful illustrations. Join Lauren for a fun and engaging workshop where children will hear about The Selfish Giant and then with paint and craft, they will help to turn the giant’s cold snowy garden into a spring garden in bloom – full of flowers and joy!

Lauren O’Hara is a Dublin-based illustrator, originally from the north of England. As well as collaborating with her writer sister, Natalia, on Once Upon a Fairytale and Hortense and the Shadow she has illustrated books by Sophie Dahl, Vivian French, and with the Royal Opera House. Lauren has three times been nominated for the CILIP Kate Greenaway award. Her book Madame Badobedah with author Sophie Dahl was The Guardian’s book of the year, and Frindleswylde by Natalia O’Hara was awarded the Children’s Books Ireland Illustration Honour award. She lives in a converted church in Dublin with her partner and assorted ghosts.
