Accessibility

At Dublin Book Festival our belief is that literature, and the enjoyment of literary events, is for
everyone. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive and accessible experience for
all. Our aim is to eliminate barriers and ensure accessibility throughout our events.

Accessibility at Venues

Our Festival Hub at The Printworks, Dublin Castle, is fully accessible and all of our venues are
wheelchair accessible, and accessible to those using mobility aids, unless otherwise noted on
individual event booking pages. Our volunteers will be on hand on arrival at our venues to assist
with finding a suitable seat if required. We also welcome advance contact on
info@dublinbookfestival.com if you have any queries or concerns regarding arrival at the venue,
securing a suitable seat or anything else to ensure your comfort when attending our festival.

If you have questions or feedback about our accessibility policies, please contact us on
info@dublinbookfestival.com

Companion tickets can be arranged at no additional cost. Please email us on
info@dublinbookfestival.com

Ensuring inclusion for people of all financial capacities

At Dublin Book Festival we believe that literature is for all and, with the support of The Arts
Council and other key funders, we are delighted to be able to offer a substantial amount of
events for adults for free, while our full family and children’s programme, and schools’
programme, are free. Our website offers a ‘free’ events category tab to see at-a-glance all the
events that can be attended without ticket cost. Our Festival Hub is free to enter and has a
number of free, drop-in events and areas to enjoy across the main festival weekend. Where a
fee applies for an event, it will be within an affordable price range as per sector standards.
Certain workshop style events may have a limited number of subsidised tickets available and
where applicable this will be noted on the event page. Please feel free to email the team if you
have any questions or need assistance with accessibility requirements.
