Poet and verse-novelist Ruth Ennis will teach you all about shaped poetry and help you write your very own shaped poem

Ruth Ennis is a poet and verse-novelist from Kildare. She has an M.Phil in Children’s Literature from Trinity College Dublin and is usually working with books in some capacity. Ruth has been published in The Irish Writer’s Handbook (Books Ireland) and I Am The Wind: Irish Poems for Children Everywhere (Little Island). Her debut young adult verse novel Shorelines will be published in February 2026 (Little Island). She can be found giving book recommendations at any given time, as well as regularly sharing photos of her cat.
