Introduction

The new library opened in March 2025. Floor space comprises 1,300 square metres over two floors, accessible by a lift, and includes an outdoor area. The library caters to adults, children and young people, with a dedicated Teen area, Cubbie sensory pod, Podcast Studio and Event Room. There are lots of study spaces, free Internet and Wifi, PCs, printing, copying and scanning facilities and a Changing Places bathroom. It provides a welcome space for all in the community to enjoy, study, read, relax and participate in events. The Events Room can hold a seated audience of 50, but can also function as a performance space for dance/theatre groups or yoga/exercise groups.
