Introduction

DCU is a globally recognised university located in Drumcondra, just north of Dublin’s city centre. St. Patrick’s Campus has a rich history and serves as a hub for education and teacher training. It is 15-20 minutes from Dublin city centre by bus, while Drumcondra train station is an 8 minute walk away.

Entrance

Dublin Book Festival events take place in a number of buildings throughout DCU’s St Patrick’s campus, all building details clearly noted on the individual booking pages. Entrance to these events is via the pedestrian entrance (steps and ramp) which is just off Upper Drumcondra Road. This entrance is located beside Cregan Library and Lidl.

 

 

Transit

Bus stops 21, 44, 45, 7602 & 7603 all service and stop on Drumcondra Road, a very short
distance away from the event entrance.

A small number of paid parking spaces are available through APCOA parking Ireland app.
Campus users may use the universally accessible parking spaces if you display a valid and
registered ‘blue badge’ permit issued by the IWA. Qualified drivers may use any of these spaces for free, regardless of whether you have a permit or not.

The campus is fully accessible.

Accessible restrooms are located on the ground floor of Cregan Library.
