Mary Lavin Place

This venue is a pop up space in the new Mary Lavin Place at Wilton Park.

Mary Lavin Place is the first public square in Ireland to be named after an Irish woman writer, and celebrates Mary’s former home on nearby Lad Lane. The venue for the event includes panels on the life and work of Mary Lavin, with excerpts from Gráinne Hurley’s Gratefully and Affectionately: Mary Lavin and the New Yorker, published this year by New Island Books.

Entrance

The venue is a ground floor space, with the entrance directly on to Mary Lavin Place.

Mary Lavin Place lies between Fitzwilliam Place and the Grand Canal at Wilton Park.

Nearest public transport is the LUAS Green Line, getting off at either Charlemont or Harcourt Street.

Wheelchair accessible, no steps.

Due to the pop up nature of the venue, there are no toilets on site.
