From Place To Creature: How Ireland’s Landscapes and Habitats Shape Animals Aga Grandowicz
In this engaging and interactive workshop based on Aga Grandowicz’s Animals of Irish Name and Origin (Natural World Publishing), children will explore how Ireland’s habitats, such as bogs, meadows, limestone landscapes, and coastlines, have shaped the animals that live there – and even influenced their names. Through storytelling, visuals, and a drawing activity, participants will learn about place-based species such as the Irish hare and the Kerry bog pony, and why protecting habitats is key to preserving Ireland’s living heritage.
This is a schools’ event for 2nd – 4th Class. Booking enquiries to info@dublinbookfestival.com.
