20 YEARS! Yes for 20 years we have celebrated the voices of Irish writing, publishing, and the creative word. From humble beginnings in one or two venues, we now take over the city for five days in November, and this year we have donned our best venue attire to host the main Festival Hub at the Royal Irish Academy Of Music (RIAM), with a generous sprinkling of unique satellite venues all around the city.

We open our doors once again to welcome volunteers, book enthusiasts and festival goers back for a winter’s delight in literary & publishing treasure. The page is blank and set for you to write your part in making this edition of the festival a memorable one to mark this milestone.

The 21st Dublin Book Festival (Nov 4 -8) relies on the dedication and generosity of volunteers supporting our events. We are grateful for the vital support of our many volunteers, without whom the Festival would not happen.

What you gain as a volunteer

How to apply

This application form helps us to know you, our volunteers, better. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer, with a good understanding of, and fluency in, English.

Dublin Book Festival actively encourages applications from candidates coming from a diversity of national, ethnic or cultural groups (including, but not limited to) Asian, Black, Traveller and minority ethnic, refugees, people with disabilities, Irish Speaking communities, working-class and LGBTQI+ volunteers.
