DBF After Dark at DBF23

This year, supported by Fáilte Ireland’s Winter in Dublin campaign, we are delighted to be filling your evening hours with literary events in venues all around the city.

With events celebrating the expression of creativity through Words and Music, readings, discussions, poetry slams, open mic nights of poetry and prose, special celebrations and more, our new strand, DBF After Dark, has allowed us to bring a love of literature and great books into cultural and entertainment spaces throughout Dublin after the sun goes down. Dublin is renowned as being a vibrant cultural city, and just because the days are getting shorter and chillier, this doesn’t have to change. Dublin Book Festival allows visitors to hear the best in contemporary literature, poetry and more, while exploring the city’s most welcoming venues. This year’s evening events are taking place in venues such as our Festival Hub at The Printworks in the grounds of the historic Dublin Castle; the Glass Mask Theatre at the Bestseller Dublin, a boutique wine cafe and intimate event venue; The New Theatre in the heart of Temple Bar; and Brooks Hotel, a 4-star boutique hotel in the heart of the shopping and hospitality district.
