DBF at Belfast Book Festival

Dublin Book Festival are delighted to announce that we have joined forces with the incredible team at Belfast Book Festival to bring you a discussion on Magical Realism in Modern Literature

Chaired by Peter Murphy, join writers Jan Carson, Deirdre Sullivan and Cathy Sweeney as they explore the use of magical realism in modern literature and its inspiration on their own writing. This free online event is part of an admirable online programme developed by the team at Belfast Book Festival. 

Belfast Book Festival is in its tenth year and has grown from strength to strength in the last decade. This year, the team have truly excelled expectations with their diverse, far-reaching, and accomplished programme. 

Whether you’re interested in Poetry, Fiction or Perspectives on the Publishing Industry, the BBF team have curated an event for you. On Thursday Naoise Dolan and Joanna Walsh join to discuss their new novels with Chair John Self. On Friday, you can join Doireann Ní Ghríofa and Sophie White as they discuss Life, Death, and the Body in Ireland. On Saturday, the Paper Lanterns Journal Team joins Chair Sheena Wilkinson to discuss Writing the Teen Voice

The festival wraps on Sunday with a poetry-jammed day including the Belfast Book Festival Poetry Slam and a poetry event for families featuring Joseph Coelho
