Dublin Book Festival Delighted to Celebrate Winter in Dublin 2022 with Fáilte Ireland!

Halloween is over, mountains of sweets have been demolished, time to start planning the next fun thing to keep the kids occupied! We at Dublin Book Festival are delighted to be taking part in Fáilte Ireland’s Winter in Dublin campaign this year to bring you a wonderfully exciting family programme. All across Dublin City we’ll have a range of creative activities, fun events and exciting talks that will entertain everyone in the family of all ages.

We have so many free events and activities throughout the weekend so why not drop by for a bit of fun?

If you’re feeling creative why not book into one of our Draw-Along events, hosted by Children authors and illustrators like Ashwin Chacko, Jennifer Farley, Alan Nolan and Lucy Kelly-Desmond which are all free!

Music and storytelling are at the heart of Irish Culture, which is why we have included such events across our programme.

How about a relaxing boat trip down the Liffey to the beautiful spoken word poetry of Dagogo Hart, Samuel Yakura and Emmet O’Brien (Book tickets HERE) or the captivating storytelling of Niall de Búrca for just €10 (Book Tickets HERE)

Take a seat in our outdoor marquee to enjoy music by some of the members of the world-renowned Kíla, and Brunnock and Mahon. Or join us on the dancefloor and show off your dance moves to a combo of traditional and modern music by our wonderful musicians from Music Generation

And finally, let yourself be entertained by Guido Fanzini’s Thunderous Entertainment Haberdashery!
