Interview: Jack Harte
Published 01/12/2020Jack Harte is an Irish writer who has written widely across many forms – short stories, textbooks, plays and novels. His most recent play, Killing Grandad, enjoyed a successful run at the New Theatre, Dublin, in March, 2020, until it was closed by the Covid Lockdown. He is an arts activist and founded the Irish Writers Union and the Irish Writers Centre.
In this interview, Jack Harte speaks to DBF’s Joyce Dignam about his vast writing portfolio, founding The Irish Writers Centre and using satire to deal with social commentary.
