Save the Date: Dublin Book Festival 2026 Taking Place 4 – 8 November

Dublin Book Festival Dates for 2026

Book lovers, mark your calendars! Dublin Book Festival 2026 will take place 4 – 8 November in venues all around Dublin City, and this one is a special one for us as we celebrate our 20 years. Dublin Book Festival was established in 2006 with the vision of celebrating the very best of Ireland’s writers and publishers, both established and emerging, showcasing the rich and diverse literary talent from this island. Since then, the festival has grown to be one of Ireland’s most dynamic literary festivals, showcasing over 200 writers and artists in over 100 events across 5 days.

We’re already hard at work planning this year’s flagship festival, which we promise will be packed with captivating, thought-provoking, illuminating and entertaining literary and creative events. From authors in conversation about their latest books, panel discussions on some of today’s most pressing issues, literary walking tours and poetry events, to book launches, special anniversary events, writing workshops, schools’ events, and our full weekend of free family events, there will be something for all book lovers to enjoy. We can’t wait for you to join us as we celebrate this milestone! Our programme is announced mid September.

Festival Hub for 2026

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Festival Hub will be at the iconic RIAM – Royal Irish Academy of Music in the heart of Dublin City. Along with the programme of scheduled events, our Festival Hub will host a wide range of drop-in activities to enjoy, from bookshop browsing and arts and crafts stations, to family treasure hunts, and more. Our Festival Hub will be the heart of our festival, where you can enjoy a wide range of events, lose yourself in our world of books, mingle with other book lovers, meet some of Ireland’s best-loved writers at book signings, and more.

Festival Supporters

We are grateful to be funded by the Arts Council, whose invaluable support allows us to programme, showcase and celebrate so many of Ireland’s wonderful authors, poets, illustrators and publishers. Thank you to all of our festival funders, sponsors and partners, without whose continued and valued support the festival would not be what it is.
